Good to know.

All paperwork is handled by the hotel. During the wedding the couple will be required to sign three Marriage Registers, in addition to the signature of their witnesses (two will be provided, in the event the couple does not have their own), and the Ministers signature. The Minister will then give the couple one of the Marriage Registers known as the Bridal copy and the other two will be used to apply for their Marriage Certificate. This is a legal document with a raised seal and the Jamaican Coat of Arms and is legal worldwide. This Certificate takes some time to be processed and will be mailed to the couple. Please provide the wedding coordinator with a proper address to send the document.

So to recap: You will leave the resort with a copy of your marriage license and the official certified copy will be mailed to you in about 8-10 weeks after the wedding. Both the marriage license copy and the official marriage certificate will state your legal name as it is now. You can change your name in your state once you receive the certified marriage certificate after travel.

BRING ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS with you to the resort.

Weddings can take place at many beautiful locations on the resort grounds and special gazebos and picturesque gardens and of course by the beach.

Wedding ceremonies can be a traditional ceremony performed by a licensed Minister. It includes a legal declaration of your freedom to marry your partner, traditional marriage ceremony questions from the Minister, and a ring exchange section. You may add your own personal vows to the ceremony, (many couples choose to do so), no problem...just provide the wedding coordinator with a copy of them on arrival.
