Getting Married in Jamaica is EASY!!!

Our Honeymoon and Destination Wedding Specialists from First Choice Travel and Cruise say that JAMAICA is one of the easiest and most beautiful places to have your Destination Wedding.  For over 30 years we have been making those dream Weddings and Honeymoons a reality for couples and know first hand how beautiful they can be.

Not only have we watched from a distance, we have been lucky enough to attend a few weddings in Jamaica for friends and family.  Tana Kubricky one of our WEDDING SPECIALISTS from our office also has first hand experience with her own destination wedding in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

"Nothing prepares you for the beauty of such a tropical wedding in a gazebo or on the beach.  There wasn't a dry eye in the crowd!!!  I would recommend an easy carefree wedding in JAMAICA to anyone who wants their wedding day to be amazing and stress free!"

Imagine yourselves in a tropical paradise surrounded by friends and family toasting the two of you.  All the wedding details have been arranged to reflect your taste. Talk about STRESS FREE!!!  Best of all... after the wedding ceremony, you won't have to leave.

We think our First Choice Travel and Cruise DESTINATION WEDDING SPECIALISTS are the best!  Our Brides, Grooms and Guests are the ones who make the WEDDINGS special and fun!!!  Destination Weddings should be romantic, stress-free, interesting, relaxing and exciting for all of our BRIDES AND GROOMS AND THEIR GUESTS too!

Jamaica weddings are exotic and beautiful

Good to know.

All paperwork is handled by the hotel. During the wedding the couple will be required to sign three Marriage Registers, in addition to the signature of their witnesses (two will be provided, in the event the couple does not have their own), and the Ministers signature. The Minister will then give the couple one of the Marriage Registers known as the Bridal copy and the other two will be used to apply for their Marriage Certificate. This is a legal document with a raised seal and the Jamaican Coat of Arms and is legal worldwide. This Certificate takes some time to be processed and will be mailed to the couple. Please provide the wedding coordinator with a proper address to send the document.

So to recap: You will leave the resort with a copy of your marriage license and the official certified copy will be mailed to you in about 8-10 weeks after the wedding. Both the marriage license copy and the official marriage certificate will state your legal name as it is now. You can change your name in your state once you receive the certified marriage certificate after travel.

BRING ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS with you to the resort.

Weddings can take place at many beautiful locations on the resort grounds and special gazebos and picturesque gardens and of course by the beach.

Wedding ceremonies can be a traditional ceremony performed by a licensed Minister. It includes a legal declaration of your freedom to marry your partner, traditional marriage ceremony questions from the Minister, and a ring exchange section. You may add your own personal vows to the ceremony, (many couples choose to do so), no problem...just provide the wedding coordinator with a copy of them on arrival.

These are the requirements for most weddings in JAMAICA.  Each resort has their own rules and they may change frequently.  Please contact a destination wedding specialist at First Choice Travel and Cruise to make sure you are getting married at the location you have always dreamed of.   First Choice Travel knows the best wedding packages where you can choose according to... your needs!!  We would be happy to make some suggestions for you as your travel experts but remember we are not your wedding coordinators.
