Ask Gayle Zielke, a Hawaii Specialist (AKAMAI) who has attended the school of Hawai'i again and about her last visit to Hawaii with her family of 10! She visited the island of Oahu the last time with the Hawaii Tourism and was able to experience almost the whole island in 5 days. Of course it was a whirlwind tour with the Oahu Visitors Bureau. Arriving in Honolulu driving to the beautiful quieter side of Ko Olina, to the iconic North Shore area where surfing is king, then off to the exciting Honolulu area where there is always something to do. Plenty of night life, restaurants, world class shopping, sightseeing, museums, artisans and if you are looking for activity this is where you want to begin or end your trip!
I absolutely loved the Ko Olina area with the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort (now a Four Seasons Resort), Disney Ihilani and the Ko Olina Golf club there. Did you know there was anything FREE in Hawaii? I couldn't believe that the Ko Olina Golf Club provides FREE transportation for guests coming to Ko Olina from Waikiki. Even for just one player, up to about 80 players. Kids play FREE after 3pm!!! Imagine that they offer free golf lessons at certain times of the day! Great for families who want to learn how to golf and the course was designed for beginners and experts alike.

KO OLINA VIEWS
The Turtle Bay Resort has been on my bucket list for years. I saw a lot of surfers and younger guests here. Another sightseeing option I wanted to see since I sell it a lot is the Polynesian Cultural Center. I had no idea how large it was. I love how all the different Polynesian Islands are all authentic here! Certainly an exciting worthwhile visit and why not stay for the LUAU!!
On my last visit to Maui, Molakai and Lanai' with the Maui Tourism board was very informative since the smaller quieter islands are lovely and unexplored as much as the big sister island of Maui. Gayle says she just didn't visit hotels but explored everything that Maui, Molakai and Lanai' had to offer. Meeting with the hotel managers and sales departments from all our top resorts is definately a plus in our business. It pays to get to know them personally so our clients receive the VIP service we think they deserve!

The Hawaiian Islands prepare for the return of the humpback whales and await the first sighting of the whale-watching season, which typically runs from November through May. The best locations across the Hawaiian Islands to spot the humpback whales include Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge on Kauai, Makapuu Lighthouse on Oahu, Papawai Point on Maui, and Lapakahi State Historical Park on Hawaii, the Big Island. MOLOKAI
Molokai known as the Friendly Isle is rich in history and Hawaiian culture. Visit with the locals who know the stories about the Hawaiian culture and the aloha spirit. It might not be easy for you to stay here though. This small island was exciting to visit but there aren't too many hotels to overnight here. Maybe a day trip by ferry would be the best way to see Molokai until they have a couple more hotels up and running again. The beautiful jungle and the Kalaupapa peninsula are extraordinary and worth the visit.
KAUAI
Kauai known as "The Garden Isle" for its lush, crescent -shaped beaches, beautiful shades of green countryside, variety of floral and fauna, endless waterfalls, and of course gardens! Soaring volcanic mountains covered in lush rainforest with so many white sand beaches to choose from. Relaxed pace and atmosphere make Kauai a romantic choice for couples.
This is one of the best islands for helicopter trips because it is so hard to get to the waterfalls and you have to see the Waimea Canyon! Some areas in Kauai you want to take a boat trip to visit. The Na Pali coast is breathtaking. These top natural attractions are all "a must see and experience" while in Kauai!
The botanical gardens here are some of the best you will ever find. Kauai is easy to drive and navigate if you want to rent a car and explore on your own. You can still find many private little areas on the beaches to be alone. A drive from Poipu to Prineville is worth your time.
HAWAII--THE BIG ISLAND
On the Big Island there is so much diversity with weather, topography and activities to keep even the most active guests busy. You can actually visit an active volcano. The sights at night of the volcano with the lava flowing are not to be missed. Take the twilight tour. Wear the right shoes at the volcano. Bring a camera that takes great night/dark photos and movies of the lava flowing.
Enjoy a completely different part of the island which has not been explored. There are coffee farms, macadamia nut farms, orchid and vanilla farms along with botanical gardens. Lets not forget the Seahorse farm!
Star gazing atop Mauna Kea, ancient Hawaiian culture started here and a visit to the Volcanoes National Park are a must do on our Big Island of Hawaii. If you can go at night it will be a real treat to see the stars twinking in the sky along with the red orange lava glow of the volcano. Eerie but cool to experience. I heard they may not let you go to the crater in the dark anymore. I know I thought it was a bit dangerous when we did with all the craters. Never go without a flashlight. Be ready for adventure on this island!
The Waipio Valley boasts about their incredible waterfalls. In Hawi you are surrounded by rain forests and then there is the green, red and black sand beaches. Snorkel by Captain Cook's monument with some of the best coral reefs in the islands.
Traveling to the Big Island will be a unique experience and educational too. Snorkeling with the Manta Rays at night is outstanding! Drive to Hilo for gorgeous waterfalls and check out Puuko-hola Heiau Nathional Park. I love the stories about King Kamehameha and I think you will too!
