Gesica and family at Generations in Mexico
My family and I got back from Generations Riviera Maya, and I can't wait to share our experiences with YOU!
Frontier Airlines from Chicago
Did you know that Frontier Airlines not only charges for bags & carry ons, but they also charge $1.99 for soda, juice & water? Good to know ahead what to bring, buy at the airport or leave at home. You cannot bring to a foreign country any fruit, so eat it on the plane or at the airport.
They kept announcing on board that it's also against consumer regulations to bring your own alcohol & drink it on an airline. Everyone pushes the duty free but buyer beware. The seats do not recline on the plane and they also try to get you to sign up for their credit card. Frontier did however, let people know not to stop & talk to the timeshare people & head directly outside...which is something really important so you don't miss your transfer!
Want to make your family feel like important ROCKSTARS? Get a Limo transfer! The facial expressions my family made when they took our luggage and loaded it into the back of the limo was PRICELESS! It was like an excursion all in itself!
Generations Riviera Maya was a very small property! So if you like boutique and smaller resorts this will be great for you. 5 restaurants, only buffet breakfast with an omelet grill, buffet & pool side lunch, Mediterranean, Italian& Japanese(no hibachi table only sushi bar) for dinner. My kids love sushi and so do we!!! Since it's a Karisma Gourmet Inclusive, the food was fabulous!
Seems like they were always trying to push that Jackson family wine for purchase they are are pretty proud of! No problem, Upgrade if you want it, or just say no!
Noticed lots of Grandparents took their kids & grand-kids there. They were having a BALL!!!
I believe all rooms faced pool & ocean but you needed a cart to take you to lobby, very far to walk to.
The swim ups on 4 different levels make this property unique.
Adults may go and use El Dorado Casitas & Royal. (This is nice to know if you can get away from the kids!!)
Nice beach but rocky ocean front, my family loved snorkeling around the rocks! The pool was filled with salt water, which my family didn't care for.
The butlers were fabulous at making sure everything was perfect. Doesn't everyone want their own BUTLER????
There is a kids club (up to 12 yrs old), No teen club, but there was a lounge with games and pool table. They had blow up slide and hamster ball in pool. Volleyball and soccer on beach for all to join in!
